In the recent weeks, there have been a number of attacks directed towards the Law Enforcement Officers of our nation. Individual officers were not necessarily the target for any action they had committed personally. The attacks were against groups of officers, officers doing their job and on the job. It was attacks against the whole Law Enforcement Community because it did not matter which officers were in the crowd at the time of the attack. These types of attacks boggle the mind. These attacks have taken a hard job and made it a dangerously hard job. The added stress of fearing an unprovoked attack can be psychologically crippling. The LEOs in our communities need to know that we, the citizens, have their backs.
